Building A Wind Generator Building A Wind Generator?

Building a Wind Generator? - building a wind generator

Hello everyone,

Need advice on building a windmill.

I have a 100W 24V DC motor, has about 6 amps.

I tested this by loading the accession a drill and measuring the output with a variable and controlled tension.
OK so far.

The following steps are

** To connect an appropriate control in connection for charging 12V battery acid, leading boat. All tracks are welcome.

** A number of suitable blades Bring move the engine. I have an arrangement to the role that can change me on the gear ratio if necessary. My biggest problem is that I have very little knowledge about the leaves. ie. needed on the number, length and height (variable or not). I am also trying to keep the general diamat up to 3 m or less.
Can a propeller of an airplane on the remote control? or is there an easy way to build what I need - the best composite materials, aluminum than the second option.

We appreciate your comments .. BTW this is something that I use recycled materials, with my son as a green project ....

I have a similar project. From my side for photos and schematics. There is also a charge controller built home, almost half of the page.

The leaves can be the easy part.
Last weekend, a friend just select your ceiling fan. The engine lost a position. It was cheaper to replace everything to repair the engine. (Especially when you consider holding the wife happy). I saw thought it was a pity that we did not use the blades. Keep an eye on craigslist or contact with some of the businesses or the kind of practical man who will be on call to exercise this distance.

If you have a creek or river, in the vicinity of a propeller in the water can generate a stable source of electricity from wind.

Can you 2 batteries in series and stored at 24 V?
Otherwise, you could use a voltage regulator ready?

Hi, Have you thought about using a fan motor homes or old? These should be in a dump available and it would be a good candidate for recycling.

Since these fans (leaves) are determined, the air should be on an appropriate scale, rotate well enough to remove in the opposite direction.

Fan made of plastic and would be easier to remove the clear plastic from the waste pile.

3-foot propellers not much mechanical energy at low altitudes. Try to find a cage with a large blower and the development of the wind funnel.

The DC motor can directly charge a battery without a controller 12, in particular, the system \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ provides u0026lt; 100W.
